This position supports the day-to-day operation of the facilities at Calvary Chapel Fellowship of Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the optimal functioning of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, elevators, and other critical infrastructure.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to perform building repairs, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and air conditioning maintenance.
- Participate in the setup and teardown of rooms and equipment for church and individual ministry events.
- Maintain the lawn irrigation system and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including emergency generators, golf carts, forklifts, light carts, high lifts, and gator tractors.
- Complete work requests and document maintenance records.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and read wiring schematics.
- Operate machinery after a period of training.
- Function as a productive part of the church staff and attend staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Must not have a fear of heights for required climbing.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects correctly.
- Must be able to read with understanding basic instruction manuals.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Publisher, Excel) software.
- Adaptable to frequent changes and able to produce high-quality work under pressure.
- Manage time and schedules well and consistently meet deadlines, capable of handling several tasks at once and following through.
- Work with little supervision or direction.
- Calvary Chapel must be your home church with regular attendance.
- Keep the ministry in the forefront of all you do, with a servant heart and optimistic attitude.
- Conduct yourself in a manner that reinforces the core values and mission of Calvary Chapel and agree to our Statement of Faith.
- Function as a productive part of the church staff and attend staff meetings in coordination with direct supervisor.
- Demonstrate a mature, ongoing personal relationship with Jesus through spiritual and moral integrity.
- Strong commitment to the vision and mission of Calvary Chapel Melbourne.
