Job Summary

The Condo Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Condo Operations Housekeeping departments to ensure that all lodging guests receive a clean, attractive, and secure place to stay with friendly and attentive service.

This role involves directing the appearance and cleanliness of all condo lodging areas and public areas, as well as providing leadership, training, and evaluations to ensure that the Jay Peak cleanliness brand standards are followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff members.
  • Prepare work schedules and ensure housekeeping standards are met and labor budgets are on target.
  • Conduct regular inventories of linen, cleaning chemicals, and operational items.
  • Prepare orders for cleaning supplies and guest amenities.
  • Provide on-going training and monitoring of staff members regarding safe work habits.
  • Maintain security for guests and property by ensuring that condo doors are locked at all times and keys are controlled.
  • Host weekly condo supervisor meetings and attend weekly housekeeping manager meetings.
  • Offer direct team support in the fields if necessary to ensure cleanliness standards are met.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid State of VT driver's license and be eligible for enrollment as a driver on Jay Peak Resort's Commercial Automobile Policy.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to our guests.
  • Ability to handle more than one task simultaneously in a calm manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages 6 to 10 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 70 employees in Condo Operations.

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
