Cardiac Sonographer Specialist

Sutter Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in San Jose, California.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures of high complexity to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in echocardiography and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures of high complexity to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics.
- Responsible for all commonly performed echocardiography procedures in the department with a high level of competence.
- Perform adult congenital heart echocardiograms, cardiac research projects, and other specialized procedures as needed.
- May also be responsible for orienting other staff to the department and performing specific procedures.
- Graduation from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
- 2 of the following certifications: RCS (CCI), ACS (CCI), ARDMS - RDCS(AE), ARDMS - RDCS(PE), ARDMS - RDCS(FE), ARDMS - RVT.
- OR Performs one of the following: Acquisition and post-processing high complexity 3D/4D imaging and strain imaging, Imaging pre and post structural heart transthoracic echocardiograms, Left ventricular Assist Device and ECMO Imaging, Cardiac transplant patients, Adult congenital patients, Involvement in cardiac research projects that incorporate echocardiography, Vascular modalities in addition to cardiac imaging, Cardiac MRI acquisition and analysis.
This is a per diem/casual position with variable shift hours and no weekend requirements.

Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
