Position Overview:
Denny's Electric is seeking a proficient Commercial Electrical Cost Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing various components of electrical projects and generating precise cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret building plans to create accurate cost estimates for electrical installations
- Assess the potential profitability of projects
- Address client inquiries regarding electrical work
- Communicate findings through written briefs and Requests for Information (RFI)
- Evaluate labor and material costs associated with electrical projects
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them
- Create a bill of materials in compliance with the National Electric Code based on project specifications
- Utilize estimating software and have a basic understanding of CAD and PDF software for electronic sketching.
Qualifications:
- Electrician certification or a relevant bachelor's degree
- Previous experience in the electrical industry
- Preferred Journeyman or Master license
- Ability to deliver highly accurate estimates for diverse electrical projects
- Strong customer service skills and self-motivated
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel)
- Ability to read blueprints and apply them to estimates or bids
- Preferred knowledge of estimating software such as Viewpoint and Digital Take-off.
