Job Description:


The College of Human Sciences & Education encompasses several degree-granting schools, including the School of Education, School of Leadership & Human Resource Development, School of Kinesiology, School of Library & Information Science, and the School of Social Work.

We are seeking Part-Time Instructors and Short Module Instructors for our online and on-campus academic offerings. These instructors will be responsible for delivering courses in Social Work.

Key Responsibilities

75% Deliver assigned courses and/or oversee field activities in Social Work

10% Select and evaluate texts and instructional materials; prepare course content and lesson plans; provide students with a syllabus that outlines course objectives, learning outcomes, teaching methods, required readings, assignments, and evaluation criteria

5% Assess and monitor student performance in achieving course objectives and learning outcomes through various assignments, projects, discussions, or examinations; offer timely feedback on student progress

5% Maintain accurate records of enrollments, attendance, assessments, and grades; submit class rosters and grade sheets by the deadlines set by the University

5% Be accessible for student consultations via phone, email, or virtual meetings

Minimum Qualifications: MSW; five years of professional experience post-MSW; Social Work license in the state of residence.

Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Social Work or DSW; previous teaching experience.
