CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, editing CNC programs, and ensuring the production of high-quality parts.

• Interpret advanced engineering drawings and understand design requirements, including datums, critical dimensions, and tolerances.
• Determine the best possible procedures, write and prove programs, set up, and operate CNC machining and/or turning centers to achieve required specifications.
• Monitor parts production to ensure adherence to blueprint tolerances.
• Shape, sharpen, set cutter, and adjust own tools to achieve desired print tolerance.
• Inspect own work at each step (setup) to enable timely continuance and ensure quality parts.
• Produce a large variety of complicated parts and offer creative/innovative machining, tooling, and fixturing improvement solutions to supervision and Engineering personnel to reduce production costs and improve quality.

• Advanced blueprint reading, mathematical, and technical skills.
• Ability to use standard inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gages, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of tooling required to run a machine, boring bars, drills, and other tools required.
• Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Machining experience beneficial.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances.
• Basic knowledge of different types of material beneficial.
