Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical and administrative duties to support efficient clinic flow and effective patient care.
- Take medical histories, capture and document patient vital signs, and update patient medical records.
- Communicate with patients, families, and other care providers to ensure a safe and effective patient care environment.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with preparing and conducting medical exams and office procedures.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, administer injections/immunizations, and perform venipuncture as allowed by state regulations.
- Communicate test results and instructions to patients as directed by physicians, advanced practice providers, or nursing staff.
- Assist with scheduling tests, treatments, and follow-up appointments, and maintain patient files and records.
- Diploma from an accredited program for Medical Assistants is strongly preferred.
- MA certification is strongly preferred.
- 1+ years' experience in an office-based setting is preferred.
- CPR certification is required.
- Ability to maintain OSHA standards and HIPAA regulations.
