POSITION TITLE: Site Technician Supervisor

REPORTS TO: Service Manager

Location Requirement: Must reside within a reasonable distance from customer sites.

Working Hours: 6 AM - 5 PM

Konecranes is in search of a qualified individual with prior crane experience to fulfill the role of Site Supervisor. The Site Supervisor is responsible for executing the scheduled customer inspections and preventative maintenance. Our employees operate in a safety-first environment, and the Site Supervisor must adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including those set by clients. This role involves conducting inspections and providing prompt quotes to clients as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute the established schedule of customer-required inspections and preventative maintenance, ensuring completion or alternative arrangements are made.
  • Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance within designated hours while maintaining safety and quality standards. Communicate any exceptions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Perform inspections in accordance with established standards and current service product parameters. Document findings and provide corrective recommendations to customers, including a safety summary of any identified concerns.
  • Engage with customer representatives regarding repair and safety issues. Prepare necessary labor, material, and equipment requirements for repairs.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all inspection or service-related activities, including service reports and time sheets, obtaining customer signatures as needed.
  • Provide daily oversight and support for site-based inspectors/technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship through regular spot checks.
  • Prepare quick quotes for immediate service or repair needs as requested by customers, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Understand and apply relevant industry codes and regulations, maintaining updated knowledge and assisting site personnel with inspection practices.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a professional and timely manner, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Maintain regular communication with the branch office as per established practices.
  • Coordinate with the branch service supervisor for additional manpower as needed.
  • Ensure all company-issued equipment and vehicles are maintained in safe working order, reporting any deficiencies promptly.
  • Maintain an inventory of necessary forms and materials on-site.
  • Follow all established safety protocols, including those set by customers.
  • Keep company vehicles and uniforms clean and presentable.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required. An Associate's degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years of experience in crane service or a related field is required. Six months of experience as a service technician is preferred. Experience in customer service or sales is also advantageous. Candidates must be willing and able to work at heights and possess good written, verbal, and computer skills.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: A valid driver's license and a good driving record are essential. Availability for occasional overtime and on-call duties is required.
