Join Our Team as a Staff Veterinarian

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Veterinarian to join our team at ACCT Philly. As a key member of our medical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality veterinary care to the thousands of animals that come through our doors each year.

About the Role

The Staff Veterinarian will work closely with our medical leadership team to ensure the health and well-being of our animal population. This includes providing physical exams, diagnostic tests, and maintaining proper record keeping for sheltered animals. You will also work with our two veterinarians (Wellness Director and Surgery Director) and Senior Medical Manager to ensure that ACCT Philly's animals receive all aspects of veterinary care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality veterinary care to shelter animals, including physical exams, diagnostic tests, and medical treatments
  • Work closely with our medical leadership team to ensure the health and well-being of our animal population
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for sheltered animals
  • Collaborate with our veterinary nursing staff to provide direct animal care and treatments
  • Participate in ongoing medical training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary care techniques and best practices

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a passion for animal welfare and a strong commitment to providing high-quality veterinary care. You should also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Pennsylvania are required.
