Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Assistant Director of Housing for Camps and Conferences at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. This is a full-time, exempt position that requires living on campus and serving as a part of the Housing & Residential Education program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate existing strategies and objectives for camp programming and youth programming.
  • Oversee all management of camp/conference registrations, youth compliance, staff hiring, and ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Develop third-party contracts for camp/conference services and assist with the management of temporary housing, including guests and camp attendees.
  • Monitor the unit or program budget and approve program expenditures, overseeing billing, invoices, room reservations, and serving as the University coordinator of all camp needs.
  • Develop and implement operating policies and procedures to promote the outreach program in alignment with the strategic plan, creating campus partnerships and connections to community events to support camp and youth programming.
  • Exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, training, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees.
  • Direct all marketing and communication related to camps and youth programming.
  • Respond to a variety of matters, including serious incidents of student misconduct, student crises, and facilities-related emergencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Three years of experience working within a camps and/or conferences model, planning events, and programs.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing program budgets.
  • Attention to detail in regard to program logistics.
  • Excellent judgment, including sensitivity to personal and confidential information.
  • Working knowledge of desktop hardware and standard business software programs (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, database) and the internet.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Previous experience working within a higher education setting.
  • Experience with registration software and/or databases.

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay offers a competitive salary range of $48,000-$53,000, as well as an excellent benefits package, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement savings plans. We also offer paid leave benefits, including 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday, and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually.
