Position Overview:
The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer will oversee the quality management processes associated with our global suppliers. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our suppliers meet the stringent quality standards necessary for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and manage the Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP) requirements.
  • Review and assess supplier submissions for compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct comprehensive supplier audits to promote continuous improvement.
  • Analyze root causes of quality notifications and evaluate corrective actions from suppliers.
  • Collaborate with purchasing teams to drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Identify and address process deficiencies, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Lead investigations into nonconforming supplier materials, ensuring effective containment and recovery strategies.
  • Work closely with design engineering and purchasing to guarantee that supplied components adhere to specifications.
  • Utilize advanced manufacturing and engineering knowledge to foster improvements and solutions.
  • Drive supplier performance enhancements through structured programs and regular reporting to leadership.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance within manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of DFMEA and PFMEA methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Preferred:
  • Advanced degree in engineering or business administration.
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing or automotive quality principles.
  • Familiarity with six sigma methodologies and lean manufacturing practices.

Work Environment:
This position is primarily office-based, with occasional visits to industrial sites. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment that requires flexibility and teamwork to achieve organizational goals.
