POSITION SUMMARY:
The Parts Sales Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing the inventory of boat, motor, trailer, and ATV components while providing assistance to both external and internal clients regarding their parts inquiries and purchases.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Demonstrates a strong dedication to exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and efficient shopping experience for all patrons.
Handles customer inquiries related to retail parts, pricing estimates, or general information via phone or at the parts counter.
Utilizes various resources, including online platforms, manufacturer contacts, and on-site reference materials, to address customer questions.Processes part sales transactions through phone interactions or at the parts counter.
Safeguards received funds and conducts daily till reconciliation procedures.
Generates purchase orders for necessary parts to maintain stock levels, fulfill customer requests, or meet work order specifications, forwarding these orders to the relevant vendors.
Receives ordered parts and verifies shipping documents against the actual merchandise and quantities received for accuracy.Enters received parts data into the IDS inventory management system.
Organizes received merchandise in designated areas for efficient retrieval.
Confirms full payment receipt before shipping special order parts.
Issues parts to technicians and riggers according to work order requirements, subsequently recording issued parts in IDS to monitor inventory levels.
Processes refunds for returned parts or cancellations, ensuring that returned and warranty items are sent back to the appropriate vendor for credit.Prepares for and conducts scheduled parts inventories as required.
Reports and reconciles any discrepancies or shortages identified during physical inventory checks.
Maintains a clean and professional workspace.
Performs any additional duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Ability to perform calculations such as discounts or percentages and provide change to customers.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.
Exhibits good phone etiquette.
Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Proficient in computer operations and data entry functions; marine knowledge is advantageous.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand for extended periods.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Completes tasks and responsibilities under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and innovative thinking. Makes choices from limited alternatives to resolve issues. Occasionally exercises independent judgment to complete assignments and often recommends improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.
