Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Optim Orthopedics is seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our team in Savannah. As a key member of our medical staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Radiology Technologist to work in our radiology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for radiologic procedures, protecting patients and staff from radiation hazards, and taking X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Protect patients, self, and other staff from radiation hazards by following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, including setting up and operating radiographic equipment.
  • Select proper ionizing factors for radiologic diagnosis and adjust/set radiographic controls as needed.
  • Position patients and take X-rays of specific parts of the body as requested by physicians.
  • Check X-rays for clarity of image and retake when necessary.
  • Distribute X-rays to appropriate medical staff and maintain required records, including patient records, daily log books, and monthly reports.
  • Perform quantity and quality control checks to ensure X-ray units meet standards required by laws, rules, and departmental policies.
  • Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining equipment repairs.

  • Current license with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
