Job Title: Principal Engineer - Radiation Engineering & Analysis

Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our Radiation Engineering & Analysis team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading complex nuclear engineering projects, providing technical expertise, and mentoring junior engineers.

About the Role:

This is a hybrid position that requires 10+ years of experience in Nuclear Engineering, Radiation Transport Calculations, and Reactor Vessel Fluence Analysis. You will work closely with our global team to support the design and analysis of Pressurized Water Reactors (PWRs), Boiling Water Reactors (BWRs), and advanced reactor designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical leadership for fluence/dosimetry analyses, including license renewal and 24-month fuel cycle transitions
  • Mentorship and coaching of junior engineers
  • Determination of scope and schedule, and provision of cost inputs for offers
  • Leadership of new product and service offerings
Requirements:
  • BS in Engineering required, with a preference for Nuclear Engineering or similar
  • 10+ years of applicable experience
  • Proven engineering leadership as a Technical Leader, including management of teams in challenging situations, frequent interactions with customers, and ability to navigate Westinghouse internal structure and processes
  • High-level skills qualification in deterministic neutron transport and dosimetry analysis
  • Strong technical skills combined with an ability to multi-task and prioritize work tasks
