We are seeking a highly skilled Principal PRA Engineer to join our innovative team at Westinghouse Electric Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for complex nuclear power plant systems, evaluating potential vulnerabilities to various risk and hazard types.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform PRA for domestic and international plants, evaluating potential vulnerability to seismic, fire, flooding, and other hazards
- Lead project teams effectively, contributing to technical execution, schedule, and financial objectives
- Support and identify strategic initiatives, develop product offerings, and pursue target product markets
- Present technical topics and interface with global customers and regulatory bodies
- Develop and support innovation products from conception through marketing and delivery
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or Chemical)
- Professional Engineer License considered a plus
- 10+ years professional experience; Minimum of 7 years experience with PRA Model development applied to nuclear plants
- Knowledge of PWR reactor operation
- Strong knowledge of Internal/External Hazards PRAs, Level 2 PRAs, Human Reliability Analysis (HRA), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs)
- Proficiency with PRA software (CAFTA, RiskSpectrum)
- Peer Review experience
