Position Overview:

The Process Improvement Specialist plays a crucial role in executing tasks that directly or indirectly contribute to significant projects within the Process Improvement division. Key responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to: Engineering-related tasks, Data structuring, manipulation, visualization, and analysis, Documentation design, creation, and management, as well as the identification and enhancement of operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Analysis / Reporting:

- Streamline data extraction and visualization workflows

- Conduct analytics using both conventional and innovative methodologies

- Create and sustain data visualization dashboards

- Operational Enhancement / Automation:

- Develop current state process mapping and analysis

- Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions

- Implement automation strategies to minimize waste

- Time Studies / Process Evaluation:

- Observe workflows at various operational sites

- Conduct time studies: Setup - Execute - Report Findings

- Generate findings and recommendations reports

- Documentation Development / Management:

- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support initiatives

- Oversee collaborative document management systems

- Develop and manage essential departmental documentation

- Undertake additional projects as assigned by management

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, with a focus in
  • Preferred fields include Industrial Engineering, Engineering (other), Statistics, or Business Analytics
  • Master's Degree is a plus
  • Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt, Lean certifications are advantageous
  • Minimum of 2 years in a technical role utilizing data analysis or process analysis skills preferred, including internships
  • 2 years in an Industrial Engineering or similar role preferred, including internships
  • Intermediate experience in Statistical Analysis and/or Process Automation
  • Introductory experience in Project Management, Time Studies, and/or Process Mapping
  • Basic experience with Minitab is beneficial
  • Ability to solve problems related to data structures
  • Strong communication skills are essential
  • Must be organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel as needed, with travel requirements typically ranging from 10-25%
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is a fundamental aspect of the role
  • Willingness to comply with necessary employment procedures, including background checks and drug screening
