About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Account Representative II to join our team at AdventHealth. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for billing, follow-up, and managing denials to timely collect on assigned accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate daily with team members and manager on assigned projects to meet prescribed deadlines
  • Examine contracts and learn payer contracts to understand reimbursement methodology
  • Resolve and resubmit rejected claims as necessary
  • Process daily and special reports, unlisted invoices and letters, error logs, stalled reports, and aging claim reports
  • Review previous account documentation to determine appropriate action(s) necessary to resolve avoid denial and facilitate timely payment
  • Perform outgoing calls and accept incoming calls from patients and insurance companies to obtain necessary information for accurate billing, collections, and correction of denials
  • Actively prioritize all outstanding customer service concerns and maintain relationships that are equally respectful to all
Requirements
  • Demonstrate, through behavior, AdventHealth's service standards
  • Work with insurance payers to ensure proper billing, collections, or denial management on patient accounts
  • Examine contracts to ensure proper reimbursement and educate team members on inconsistencies in processing
  • Work follow-up report daily, maintaining established goal(s), and notify supervisor of issues preventing achievement of such goal(s)
