Job Summary:

The Senior Administrative Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Associate Vice President of Facilities and Services and the FS Senior Administration. This role will involve managing a diverse range of administrative activities, including providing essential office support, coordinating special events, and participating in various committees. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Associate Vice President and FS Senior Administration
  • Coordinate special events and meetings
  • Participate in various committees and working groups
  • Manage office supplies and equipment
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in administrative support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse community

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of AIM Work Order System
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of NMSU Pcard processing

Working Conditions:

The work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. The physical effort required is no or very limited. The lifting requirements are handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
