Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Program Specialist Senior to join our team at New Mexico State University- College of Engineering. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting STEM education and fostering relationships with schools and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an annual recruitment plan outlining goals, objectives, and strategies to attract and support prospective students.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze data related to recruitment activities, including tracking program activity metrics and assessing effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with high school administrators, teachers, guidance counselors, and college faculty to foster partnerships and enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Serve as college liaison with university Admissions and manage tours of college facilities for prospective students and families.
  • Coordinate new student orientations and educate K-12 students about college STEM pathways through presentations, workshops, and outreach programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience related to the standard duties as outlined.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license required for travel within the state of New Mexico.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

  • Work is normally performed indoors.
  • Light physical effort required, with some standing or walking.
