Job Summary

Summary:

Responsible for cashiering tasks, including processing cash transactions, verifying cash drawers, providing change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports. May also engage in general food service activities while upholding sanitation standards in preparation, service, and dining areas.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conducts sales transactions promptly and efficiently.
  • Records all sales in the cash register to ensure accurate purchase documentation.
  • Handles cash, accepts various payment methods, and issues receipts to customers.
  • Adheres to standard procedures for processing cash refunds.
  • Engages with customers and addresses any complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Responsible for managing assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards.
  • Observes customer purchases in the café line and distinguishes between standard portions.
  • Restocks condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness in service areas.
  • Ensures pastry case is adequately stocked.
  • Complies with company service standards and inventory and cash control protocols.
  • Follows all sanitation, ServSafe, and safety regulations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
