Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Envelope Insertion Specialist is responsible for the operation and maintenance of envelope inserting machinery, adhering to specific job requirements to deliver a completed, mail-ready product for clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate envelope inserting machinery, including inserters, metering devices, and finishing equipment.
  • Configure machinery according to established job specifications.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks on inserted materials to ensure compliance with set standards.
  • Accurately complete necessary documentation and logs related to production, postage, quality assurance, and equipment upkeep.
  • Utilize tracking software effectively and generate reports to maintain 100% accuracy of inserted items, addressing any inconsistencies with the Inserting Department Supervisor.
  • Assist with manual insertion tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a tidy workspace, following cleaning directives from supervisors.
  • Be available for extended shifts, including weekends as required.
  • Complete all documentation as directed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Minimum Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum Requirement: None. Training will be provided. Preferred: 0-2 years of experience.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret instructions and numerical data in English at a level necessary for job performance. Basic computer skills and familiarity with keyboard operations are essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be capable of performing essential physical tasks such as reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and repetitive motions. Occasionally required to stand or sit for prolonged periods and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have the visual acuity to perform extensive reading and computer tasks.
