Role Overview:

Cogs has partnered with a boutique MEP consulting firm requiring the expertise of a skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer.

This position presents an opportunity to contribute to various market sectors, including healthcare, retail, recreation, education, transportation, and water/wastewater.

Main Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Take ownership of projects, oversee teams, and create construction documents.

Engineering and Design: Independently perform calculations, design engineering systems, and prepare mechanical system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.

Quality Control: Review shop drawings for compliance with plans and specifications.

Business Development: Help build and maintain relationships with strategic partners and customers.

Professional Development: Actively pursue opportunities to learn and enhance skills in industry software like Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.

Support and Training: May assist with project coordination tasks and provide training or assistance to others when needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural).

Experience: 3+ years of experience in HVAC systems design in residential or commercial projects.

Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; PE Registration is preferred; knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, Load Calculation programs, and MS Office.

Work Environment: May require site visits on active construction sites.
