Barnard Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team on the Chimney Hollow Reservoir project. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including digging, spreading, and leveling dirt and gravel, using a pick and shovel, and mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete, gravel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform digging, spreading, and leveling tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Use a pick and shovel to excavate and move materials
  • Mix, pour, and spread concrete, gravel, and other materials
  • Excavate, trench, and erect scaffolding
  • Remove rubble and debris
  • Perform clean-up work
Requirements:
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to exert heavy physical effort and handle objects up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb, or crawl
  • Ability to correctly rig and hoist material
  • Ability to tolerate heights without fear
  • Ability to maintain balance and stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
