QualificationsIdeal candidates should possess:
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner training, or
- If a Family Nurse Practitioner, a few years of relevant experience in a Hospitalist setting.
The role requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, specifically from 11 AM to 11 PM. On average, the NP will manage approximately 16 patients per shift.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the position include:
- Responding to rapid response calls and codes.
- Handling phone consultations.
- Performing patient admissions and discharges.
- Conducting consultations as needed.
Candidates should have:
- Inpatient Hospitalist training.
- Proficiency in procedures such as PICC lines and central lines.
