Position: Systems Architecture Specialist

Overview:

JHNA is actively seeking a Systems Architecture Specialist to provide support to our government client within the Technology Development Directorate focused on Army Aviation.


Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of a Science and Technology development team responsible for advancing manned and unmanned aviation teaming technologies:

1. Collaborate with a diverse group of contractors, military personnel, and civilian engineers/architects.
2. Serve as an architectural consultant to program and project leaders regarding the development and application of architectures, including managing schedules and workloads.
3. Execute responsibilities as an architecture engineer in the design and development of Human System Interfaces and mission systems that enhance Holistic Situational Awareness and Decision Making for both manned and unmanned aviation systems utilizing autonomous teaming.
4. Provide advanced expertise in hardware and software architecture and design methodologies, developing and assessing architecture models and their integration with other systems.
5. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA) principles and common interface standards such as FACE. Experience with Army Aviation's Future Vertical Lift Cross Functional Team Architecture Collaborative Working Group (ACWG) is essential.
6. Advise clients on autonomy requirements and its incorporation into aircraft system designs to alleviate crew cognitive workload.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
2. Must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining and maintaining a Secret DoD issued security clearance.
3. A minimum of 5 years of post-degree experience in systems engineering and architecture development for aircraft systems integration.
4. 3-5 years of experience with future vertical lift systems and software-intensive military manned and unmanned aviation mission systems.
5. Familiarity with DoD Digital Engineering policy and its application in Army programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Proficient in analyzing and integrating complex data, deriving logical system-level conclusions, and formulating action plans for program and senior leadership.
2. Skilled in establishing and optimizing priorities while managing planning and readiness activities.
