Job Overview

Uptown Rehabilitation Center - Albuquerque, NM is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse Unit Manager to lead our nursing team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our nursing unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage and ensure safe patient care
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies to achieve patient goals and minimize rehospitalizations
  • Mentor and educate nurses, working with physicians and other medical professionals, and serve as a resource to all staff within the nursing unit
  • Oversee medication management to ensure adequate supplies and adherence to Genesis policy
  • Provide direct patient care to maintain skills and expertise

Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Associate Degree in Nursing, three (3) years of nursing experience, or equivalent
  • Current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the nursing center state
  • Maintain current BLS/CPR certification
