Job Overview

Canyon Transitional Rehab Center - Albuquerque, NM is seeking a skilled and dedicated RN Unit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our nursing center management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective healthcare services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage and provide safe nursing care.
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating ways to achieve patient goals and minimize rehospitalizations.
  • Mentor and educate nurses, working with physicians and other medical professionals, and serve as a resource to all staff within the nursing unit.
  • Oversee medication management to ensure adequate supplies and that all medications are handled in accordance with Genesis policy.
  • Provide direct patient care along with other unit nurses to maintain skills.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with at least one year of nurse leadership experience. You must also possess current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the nursing center state and maintain current BLS/CPR certification.
