Registered Nurse RN Trauma Spine Med Surg Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse RN to join our team at Mission Hospital. As a Registered Nurse RN Trauma Spine Med Surg, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to patients with complex medical conditions.
Unit Overview:Our Trauma Spine Med Surg unit is a 44-bed unit that specializes in providing care to patients with spinal post-ops and trauma cases. We work closely with other trauma units to ensure patients receive comprehensive care throughout their recovery journey.
Unit Culture:Our team is a close-knit group that values teamwork and personal connections. We celebrate birthdays, holidays, and special occasions, and enjoy frequent events and activities together.
Nurse Staffing & Support:We have a strong support system in place, with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:6 on day shift and 1:5 to 1:7 on night shift. Our team includes physical therapists, certified nursing assistants, and trauma nurse leads who assist with patient care.
Innovative Programs:We are proud to be part of a pilot program for the virtual nurse program, which enhances patient care and efficiency. Virtual nurses assist with admission histories, medication reconciliation, and discharge processes, allowing bedside nurses to focus on direct patient care.

Qualifications:To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or be enrolled in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date. You must also have current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.
