Introduction

Mission Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Adult Medical Surgical team on our K6 Trauma Spine unit. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to med-surg level patients, with a primary focus on spinal post-ops and trauma cases.

Unit Overview:

  • The K6 Trauma Spine unit has 44 beds and specializes in providing comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including spinal injuries and trauma cases.
  • Our team works closely with other trauma units to ensure patients receive seamless care throughout their recovery journey.

Unit Culture:

  • Our close-knit team values teamwork and personal connections, creating a supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • We celebrate birthdays, holidays, and special occasions with frequent events and activities, fostering a sense of community among our staff.

Nurse Staffing & Support:

  • We maintain nurse-to-patient ratios that ensure our patients receive individualized attention and care.
  • Our support staff, including PTs, CNAs, and trauma nurse leads, are available to assist with patient care and provide additional support when needed.

Innovative Programs:

  • We are proud to be part of a pilot program for the virtual nurse program, which enhances patient care and efficiency by providing virtual support for admission histories, medication reconciliation, and discharge processes.
