- The K6 Trauma Spine unit is a 44-bed unit that specializes in providing exceptional care to med-surg level patients, with a primary focus on spinal post-ops and trauma cases.
- We treat a wide range of patients, including victims of motor vehicle accidents, injuries from activities like hiking and biking, and elderly patients who have experienced falls.
- Our team works closely with other trauma units to ensure patients receive comprehensive care throughout their recovery journey.
Unit Culture:

Nurse Staffing & Support:
- Nurse to patient ratios typically range from 1:4 to 1:6 on day shift and 1:5 to 1:7 on night shift.
- We have a supportive team of PTs, CNAs, and trauma nurse leads available to assist with patient care.
- Respiratory, physical, and occupational therapy teams are present daily to support patient mobility and discharge planning.
