Pipe System Installer
The ideal candidate will be skilled in laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems, supports, and associated hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for various applications, including steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production processes. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders to cut, thread, and shape pipes according to specifications.
- Secure pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures, including radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
- Measure and mark pipes accurately for cutting and threading.
- Design pipe system layouts, installations, or repairs in accordance with specifications.
- Select appropriate pipe sizes, types, and related materials, including supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, based on project requirements.
- Modify, clean, and maintain piping systems, fittings, and related machinery, adhering to specifications and employing hand and power tools.
- Install automatic controls for regulating piping systems.
- Operate valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids from pipe sections using valve keys or wrenches.
- Replace worn components as necessary.
- Inspect work sites for obstructions and ensure that installations do not compromise structural integrity.
- Operate motorized pumps to remove water from flooded areas.
- Apply protective coatings to nonferrous piping materials to prevent erosion and galvanic action.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education: No minimum education requirements.
Certifications/Licenses: NCCER and DL
Experience: 8 years of Journeyman level experience.
