Job Summary

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at All Med Search. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing advanced imaging equipment and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Order, prepare, calibrate, store, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for routine and on-call procedures, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Conduct quality assurance on cameras and various instruments, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Operate various radiation detection devices, maintaining a safe and controlled environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer operations, including Meditech, PACS, and Syntrac, to ensure seamless data management and processing.
  • Verify proper charges and physician orders, ensuring accurate billing and patient records.
  • Participate in quarterly inventory of radioactive sealed sources, maintaining a secure and compliant environment.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of departmental records, manuals, and inventory, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Perform decontamination procedures, adhering to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the department, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering phones, greeting patients, physicians, and the public with a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Meet educational requirements, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and technologies in Nuclear Medicine.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, with a strong preference for candidates with prior experience.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology, with a valid ARRT-N or CNMT license.
  • Continuing education as required for licensure, ensuring ongoing professional development and expertise.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board licensure.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
