Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Real Estate Finance Manager to join our team at ERES Companies. This role will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company, including managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing financial data to the senior management team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. They will be detail-oriented, have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • General Ledger: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by assisting in reconciliations, posting journal entries, and tracking company transactions.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Support the AP/AR processes, ensuring timely invoicing, processing payments, and managing collections.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with annual budgeting and periodic financial forecasts by gathering and analyzing relevant data from departments.
  • Audit Support: Assist with the preparation for internal and external audits by organizing required documents and helping to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Internal Controls: Help maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting and other financial processes.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform basic financial analysis to support business decisions, such as variance analysis and trend reporting.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • System & Process Improvement: Contribute to improving accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and support various operational initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong familiarity with QuickBooks required.
  • Basic understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
