About the Role

This is a critical position that plays a key role in the success of our retail stores. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will work closely with wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, provide expert advice on Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend solutions that meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure high levels of satisfaction
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services
  • Build strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers to drive sales and growth
  • Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with company policies and procedures
  • Meet or exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date work order files and formulas
  • Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed
  • Tint and mix products to customer specifications
  • Stock shelves and set up displays to create an attractive store environment
  • Clean store equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Assist with deliveries as needed
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition of assigned areas
  • Stay knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options with customers
  • Comply with inventory control procedures to minimize waste and maximize sales
  • Suggest ways to improve sales and customer satisfaction
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must be able to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends
  • If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have received at least a 'meets expectations' rating on the most recent performance appraisal
  • If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for the current position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • Have at least a high school diploma or GED
  • Have at least one year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
