Position: Pharmacy Customer Service Representative

Compensation: $18.50/hr. - $19.50/hr. based on experience, with an additional $1/hr. shift differential for overnight shifts.

Work Environment: Remote position with necessary equipment supplied.

Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent

Working Hours:

  • Shifts available from 9AM to 5PM, 12:30PM to 8:30PM, and 1PM to 9PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Shifts will be assigned based on operational requirements.
  • Availability for rotating Saturday shifts from 9AM to 1PM is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to pharmacy benefits, providers, or claims.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls to follow up with members, providers, and pharmacies as needed.
  • Dedicate approximately 90% of time to phone interactions while delivering compassionate customer service.
  • Request approvals for overrides and prior authorizations as necessary, entering them into the claims system.
  • Oversee pharmacy claims processing and perform data entry for member records.
  • Participate in additional duties or special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare industry.
  • Certification as a pharmacy technician is highly preferred (inactive certifications are acceptable).
  • At least 1 year of experience in pharmacy benefit management or health benefits.
  • Experience in a high-volume call center environment is strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
