Key Responsibilities- Provide patient-centered care, acting as a partner and advisor to patients and families to manage their health care needs.
- Apply critical reasoning and clinical judgment to expedite appropriate care and treatment, especially in complex or potentially life-threatening situations.
- Ensure proper scheduling and follow-up on test results for providers, using active listening skills and evidence-based practice to explain test results and medications to patients.
- Participate in professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs, and seeking appropriate assistance or educational offerings.
- Focus on patient safety and quality of care by applying appropriate nursing interventions, such as identifying and clarifying patient needs, conducting health education, and promoting patient advocacy.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with two years of acute care experience required.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of North Carolina and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
- Ability to assess nursing needs of acute and chronically ill patients through technology methods, seek out resources independently, and work collaboratively.
This is a typical clinic setting with a fast-paced telehealth environment.
Physical RequirementsThis role requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching with arms, finger and hand dexterity, talking, hearing, and seeing. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 20 lbs. maximum is required.
