About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Education Assistant - Behavioral Support to join our team at the Monroe School District #103. As a key member of our special education team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behaviors to access their education in the least restrictive environment.

As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will work closely with classroom teachers, BCBA, and other school staff to implement evidence-based strategies based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. You will assist in collecting and recording data on observable client behavior, monitoring and managing student progress, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

For this role, you should have a strong understanding of behavioral management strategies, positive behavior interventions, and Trauma-Informed practices. A valid First Aid/CPR card, Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint clearance, and I-9 employment eligibility are also required.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human services-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Current certification in de-escalation training program such as CPI, Right Response, Safety Care, or willingness to attend district-sponsored training and become certified within 30 days.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR card and Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint clearance.
