**Job Overview**

The State of Washington Department of Corrections is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Monroe Correctional Complex. About the Job

This is a full-time position that requires working in a correctional setting, providing medical care to inmates and supporting the nursing team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care to inmates, including administering medications, conducting health assessments, and developing treatment plans
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team to ensure seamless care delivery and achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in infection control measures, including surveillance, monitoring, and education
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to established protocols and standards
  • Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to healthcare services

Requirements

  • Initial and continuous unencumbered licensure in the State of Washington as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Two years' experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse, preferably in an acute care setting or correctional facility
  • Training by the American Heart Association in Healthcare Provider CPR
  • Proficient using computer-based programs to schedule, monitor, and track patient information, perform data entry, and word processing
