Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler - Warehouse Operations to join our team at CEVA Logistics. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials and equipment within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain excellent customer service skills to provide timely and effective support to internal and external customers.
  • Lead and direct staff to ensure the successful execution of operational processes and procedures.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment to move materials and equipment within the warehouse.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment within assigned areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.
  • Operate hand tools to close or open bales, build or tear down crates, and other containers or materials.
  • Complete or verify forms, documents, labels, and other information to ensure the accuracy of inventory and monitor material movements.
  • Oversee warehouse maintenance tasks and identify potential operational or service concerns.
  • Prepare and assemble orders, pick and count material, move and load materials between operations or trucks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; at least five years of warehousing or related logistics experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification typically required within three to six months of hire; valid state-issued driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and related warehouse equipment.
  • Basic proficiency in Internet, web-based, and job-specific software applications.
  • Ability to become forklift certified, when required.
  • Ability to prioritize and assign work, provide training and guidance to staff, and respond promptly and professionally to customer needs.
  • Ability to perform in a team environment and read, comprehend, and complete basic checklists, forms, or other related documents.
