Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care.
- Prepare patients for examinations or treatments, including gathering medical history, taking vital signs, and performing phlebotomy.
- Accurately document patient care in a timely manner.
- Organize and maintain examination and treatment areas.
- Ensure rooms are stocked, cleaned, and that instruments are sterilized.
- Manage phone communications, schedule appointments, and perform general administrative duties.
- Execute clinical tasks that enhance patient care, flow, and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding physician directives, medication, treatment plans, and test outcomes.
- Maintain patient charts, testing records, and flow sheets.
- Coordinate surgical scheduling for physicians and obtain necessary prior authorizations.
- Exhibit composure and respond appropriately in high-pressure situations.
- Possess knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Consistently embody the organization's commitment to customer service.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred, or a diploma with relevant experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience, particularly in the Fertility/GYN field, is preferred.
- CPR Certification is required.
- Proficient in keyboarding and experienced with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members.
- Responsibilities may extend beyond those listed.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, with weekend and holiday rotations as needed.
