Job Summary

The Moran Environmental Recovery team is seeking a highly skilled Abatement Technician to join our team. As an Abatement Technician, you will be responsible for working on asbestos abatement and industrial maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, health and safety protocols, and local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute field work on asbestos abatement projects under direct or indirect supervision.
  • Complete job-specific paperwork, including Timesheets, Daily Work Reports, Driver's Logs, and Daily Tailgate Safety Meeting Forms.
  • Work within project scope to maintain compliance with contract documents, project schedules, and corporate policies.
  • Perform work safely during all phases of the job duties.
  • Ability to work in areas of varying dimensions, involving squatting and crawling for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow directions, read/speak and understand English, and read and understand common danger placards/labels and hazardous warning literature.
  • Ability to safely drive and perform safety checks on vehicles for which licensed.
  • Project work may require out-of-town travel for two weeks or more.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with company and client safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Requires High School Diploma or GED and 2-3 years of experience working on abatement projects.
  • Additional experience in related work (emergency response, manual labor, general construction, industrial cleaning) is preferred.
  • Qualified employees must possess the 32-hr Abatement Worker's certification.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • TWIC preferred.
  • OSHA 40-HR HAZWOPER, Confined Space Entry, and Lead Awareness certifications are desired but not required.
