Job Summary

The Moran Environmental Recovery team is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asbestos Abatement Specialist to join our team. As an Asbestos Abatement Specialist, you will be responsible for working on asbestos abatement and industrial maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, health and safety protocols, and local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Execution: Execute field work on asbestos abatement projects under direct or indirect supervision, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project schedules.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete all job-specific paperwork, including Timesheets, Daily Work Reports, Driver's Logs, and Daily Tailgate Safety Meeting Forms, accurately and efficiently.
  • Scope of Work: Understand and work within project scope to maintain strict compliance with contract documents, project schedules, and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Safety Protocols: Work safely during all phases of performing job duties, adhering to company and client safety standards.
  • Physical Demands: Perform work in areas of varying dimensions, involving squatting and crawling for extended periods, and work outside year-round in all types of weather.
  • Travel and Transportation: May require out-of-town travel for two weeks or more and safely drive and perform safety checks on company vehicles.
  • Qualifications and Certifications: Possess a High School Diploma or GED, 2-3 years of experience in abatement projects, and hold the 32-hr Abatement Worker's certification. Additional certifications, such as OSHA 40-HR HAZWOPER and Confined Space Entry, are desired but not required.
