Job Description

The Army National Guard is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the role of Information Technology Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for sending, receiving, and processing messages and data on the Guard's sophisticated networks. You will work closely with other team members to ensure the security and integrity of the system, as well as identify and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.

Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting the systems that support the military's logistics and classified data
  • Building firewalls that can withstand cyberattacks
  • Providing customer and network administration services
  • Constructing, editing, and testing computer programs
  • Using computer consoles and peripheral equipment

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must meet certain requirements, including having a high school diploma or GED certificate, being at least 17 years old, passing a physical exam, meeting legal and moral standards, and meeting citizenship requirements. The estimated salary for this position is around $40,000-$60,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
