Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Network Technician to join our team at ADEX. As a Fiber Network Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber network services, including voice and data equipment, at customer premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, remove, rearrange, program, test, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber network services.
  • Install and configure routers, set-top boxes, and assist with PC software installation as needed.
  • Interface with customers to negotiate equipment placement, assist with account registration, and provide training on new equipment.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with work completed and respond to inquiries and follow-up.
  • Interpret schematic work order drawings to determine job specifications and installation needs.
  • Order and obtain required equipment and effect problem-solving where appropriate.
  • Utilize test equipment to analyze equipment trouble and take maintenance action.
Requirements
  • Experience in telephone service and CATV installations.
  • Knowledge of Coax cable sizes and types.
  • Experience with test sets and routers and home networking.
  • Technical understanding of loss, attenuation, and tiling.
  • Working within attics and crawl spaces.
  • Computer skills.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, climbing poles and ladders, crawling under dwellings and in attics, and working underground. The ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service is essential.
