Company Overview: Advantage Technical is a progressive organization dedicated to providing top-notch wastewater management solutions. We are currently looking for a dedicated individual to fill the role of Wastewater Treatment Specialist.

Position Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our wastewater treatment facilities. This role requires a commitment to environmental safety and regulatory compliance.

Work Schedule: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and operate the wastewater treatment systems in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Perform analyses on wastewater samples and monitor the performance of treatment equipment.
  • Calibrate pH measurement devices and ensure safe handling of chemicals.
  • Maintain comprehensive logs detailing operational activities, equipment conditions, and any incidents.
  • Assist in the coordination of operational activities and provide troubleshooting support as necessary.
  • Safely manage hazardous materials during waste collection processes.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possession of a Massachusetts Grade 2 I/M or higher Wastewater Operators License, or actively pursuing certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in municipal or industrial wastewater environments.
  • Familiarity with wastewater permits and pretreatment methodologies.
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent record-keeping and monitoring capabilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and transport 50-pound bags of chemicals.
  • Comfortable working with hazardous materials and in diverse environmental conditions.
  • Physical agility to perform tasks involving pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting.
