We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide exceptional primary care at our health center. Key responsibilities include evaluating, treating, and educating patients, coordinating care, and supporting families of patients.

The RN will engage in clinical teamwork, participate in patient care initiatives, and employ effective communication strategies, including approaches to improve health literacy.

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care within the scope of licensure, including patient assessments, administration of vaccinations, medications, and treatments.
  • Conduct patient education sessions.
  • Delegate patient care tasks to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Facilitate the coordination of patient care outside the organization, including medication management, reviewing diagnostic test results, and following up on external services.
  • Perform point-of-care testing.
  • Document patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Adjust patient care based on age and developmental needs.
  • Triage patients presenting with acute symptoms, either in person or via telephone.
  • Request medical interpretation services as needed.
  • Provide nursing-centered services through various types of visits, including chronic disease management and family planning.
  • This position may require evening, weekend, and/or holiday shifts on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

  • Valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse License.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is preferred.
  • All employees are required to have the most recent COVID-19 booster and the annual flu vaccine.
