We are seeking a skilled Accountant III to join our team at Specialty1 Partners. In this role, you will oversee and manage the accounting for joint ventures, acquisitions, and purchase-related transactions.

As an Accountant III, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and maintaining accurate records for joint ventures, including equity method accounting.
  • Ensuring proper accounting treatment for joint venture investments, consolidations, and eliminations.
  • Analyzing financial statements from joint venture entities and ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).

You will also collaborate with joint venture partners to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolve discrepancies. Additionally, you will manage the purchase accounting process, including the preparation and review of purchase price allocations.

Your expertise in acquisition agreements will be crucial in ensuring proper accounting for assets, liabilities, goodwill, and other intangible assets. You will also oversee post-acquisition integration from an accounting perspective, including intercompany transactions, consolidations, and eliminations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of purchase accounting, intercompany transactions, and partnership agreements. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience and 2-3 years of experience in joint ventures, purchase accounting, or a related field.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 per annum, based on location and experience. The position is located in Houston, TX, and requires occasional travel for business needs.
