X Ray Technician Limited Scope Job Description

Concentra is seeking a skilled X Ray Technician Limited Scope to join our team. As a vital member of our patient care team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms, and providing verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, positioning equipment and adjusting controls according to examination specifications.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure patient and team member safety.
  • Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, reporting malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.
  • Follow radiologic workflows and ensure accurate documentation of patient x-ray visits.
  • Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing, as well as prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing.
  • Assist providers during examinations and treatments, and perform routine medical procedures as ordered by the treating clinician.
  • Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered, and dispense medications and DME as directed by the treating clinician.
  • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices, and maintain supplies, clean rooms, and equipment.
  • Notify the supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly or supplies are needed.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license, if applicable.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • At least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements, preferred.

This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the state range of $34.99 to $37.00 hourly, depending on job-related factors.
