About the Role

We are seeking a skilled X Ray Technician Limited Scope to join our team at Concentra. As a vital member of our patient care team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients. Our mission is to improve the health of America's workforce, one patient at a time.

Responsibilities

The X Ray Limited Scope & Medical Support Specialist performs routine x-ray, medical, and testing procedures under direct supervision of the treating clinician. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients for radiologic procedures and escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms
  • Operating radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes
  • Using radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members
  • Maintaining all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping
  • Performing Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
  • Preparing patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing
  • Assisting providers during examination and treatment
  • Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Certifications and/or Licenses: Completion of state approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license by the state in which employed, if applicable
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Customarily has at least six months or more of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology
