Starting Pay rate is $24.12 per hour (non-negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE


Safeguard the health and safety of the community by securing the facility against any potential acts of radiological sabotage, assault, or theft of nuclear materials.

In accordance with established procedures and the site security framework, ensure a secure perimeter for site access and egress, as well as employee, contractor, and visitor entry.

Conduct searches, patrols, and inspections in line with the Station Security Plan, procedures, and post orders.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain required qualifications for the role
  • Execute patrols and inspections
  • Oversee access to secure areas
  • Conduct search operations
  • Respond to threats and emergency situations
  • Perform equipment evaluations

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must fulfill the following basic qualifications for this role:

  • Complete any state-mandated training or licensing requirements
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a High School diploma or GED
  • Hold a valid Driver's License
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening (except when undergoing documented medical treatment)
  • Pass a thorough background investigation, including criminal history, personal references, employment, and educational verifications
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating radio or telephone equipment and/or surveillance systems
  • Successfully complete all required training for the position
  • Exhibit the ability to interact courteously and communicate effectively with the public
  • Pass the following, post-offer assessments in accordance with federal regulations for armed nuclear security roles: psychological evaluation, physical examination, including vision and hearing, in compliance with nuclear regulatory standards and site training protocols.
Physical fitness assessment in accordance with site training and qualification protocols.

Firearms qualification with handgun, shotgun, and rifle per client site training and qualification standards.

Nuclear site-specific training and evaluation providing foundational knowledge of nuclear power generation principles, including radiation worker training, respirator training, and proper equipment usage.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates with prior experience in:

  • Military service;
OR

  • Current or former Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice;
OR

  • Prior Commercial Security or Loss Prevention roles will be given preferential consideration for these positions.
